The word limerence—which describes the state of obsession and romantic idealization—titles a profound reflection on uncertainty, passion, and how our own perception can shape what we experience. Rooted in the dreamy pop genre, melancholia, and a strong visual identity, IARA draws inspiration from personal experiences and emotions to explore love, nostalgia, and vulnerability through an intimate narrative and cinematic approach.
A Cinematic Bridge Between Lisbon and London
To give shape to this soundscape, IARA connected Lisbon to London, working in direct collaboration with producer Honey Scott. The result is a contemporary pop sound wrapped in a cinematic atmosphere that places IARA’s emotional sensitivity and vocal delivery right at the center of the composition.
