Cidade CAOS releases Summer single
“Starvingly Seeking Burger King” is the new single from Cidade CAOS, paired with the track “Getting Better”, and will be available on digital platforms starting June 20th, intentionally on the eve of Summer. For a preview or to purchase the work, it’s already available on Bandcamp.
The compulsion that dominates us and its cyclical behaviors and habits, and falling into an authentic emotional whirlpool, was the inspiration for composing “Starvingly Seeking Burger King”. Throughout the track, we experience a frantic mental rush, the need to exist in a merely psychological hurry in search of the same thing, which is not unfamiliar to us, much less new, and yet doesn’t require a real sense or natural origin.
In “Getting Better”, Cidade CAOS returns to the chill out paths in a musical appeal to inner contemplation and individual self-healing, sprinkled here and there with some ethnic elements, assuming a more worldly aesthetic.
Both tracks were composed and produced by Cidade CAOS, with mixing done by Duarte Carvalho at Tangerine Tree Studio, and mastering handled by Nuno Billy Domingues at Estúdio Gravar-com.
This is the third musical release from Cidade CAOS, following their self-titled debut album in 2024 and the soundtrack for the performance “Wallpaper”, edited earlier this year.
Cidade CAOS is an instrumental music project with an assumed influence from American B-movie soundtracks, short and feature-length action films, adventures, or simple contemplation, and live tuning with various global locations discovered during travels.
Cidade CAOS is the work of a musician, composer, and mentor based in Lisbon, who signs precisely with the name Cidade CAOS, not wanting to reveal much more than occasional musical collaborations and the people involved in the project’s technical side.
