CTT emerged in the midst of the Portuguese Rock boom, trying to ride the wave of Rui Veloso, UHF and GNR. With origins in Conjunto Típico Torreense, from Torres Vedras, a dance group, the band decided to use just their initials to launch themselves into Portuguese Rock.
