The beginningThe story of Ibéria begins in Baixa da Banheira in 1978, when 3 kids aged 10/11 started playing guitar. João Alexandre Marques, João Sérgio Reis and Toninho, had the ambition of forming a band. In 1980 the musical panorama was dominated by the emergence of Portuguese Rock, while abroad the Post-Punk period and the New Wave of Pop Music were taking place.
