“Azul Tigre”, the new single by Persona 77, is out now. This song is part of a trilogy (with one final track yet to be released) and follows “Acid Western,” which debuted in February of this year. The track delivers an unlikely blend of styles—a signature trait the band is known for—ranging from funk and rock to jazz.
Lyrically, “Azul Tigre” dwells between the dreamlike and the real, challenging the interpretation of even the most attentive listener. In the words of guitarist Pedro Maceira:
“Azul Tigre maintains a continuous groove throughout its entire structure, unafraid to take risks with distinct dynamics and unpredictable textures.”
