Following the strong impact of their single LinkedIn, Duque Província present “sado-saudosismo,” the second glimpse into their upcoming new album.
Written by the band and produced by Twins, the track reveals itself as an intense indie-pop song, defined by the distinctive lyricism the group’s audience has come to expect and atmospheres that begin to shape the sonic universe of the next record.
“sado-saudosismo” stands as a true indie anthem regarding the inevitability of time passing, the uniquely Portuguese fervor of saudade, and an almost visceral desire to return to a past that always seems to offer answers. It is a track that touches the raw nerves of a generation living between nostalgia and uncertainty.
With lyrics such as “é um atestado de sobriedade / eu não acordar com a mesma idade amanhã” (it’s a testament to sobriety / that I won’t wake up the same age tomorrow), the song deepens the reflection started in LinkedIn — where the future and the pressure to conform were called into question — revisiting the theme now in a more introspective way. The result is an emotional portrait of the silent anxiety of growing up in a world where time moves forward without asking for permission.
The new album is set to arrive in the first half of 2026.
