Santos e Pecadores

Santos & Pecadores is a Portuguese group that adopted a musical style based on rock but fusion with soul and funky.

The band members are Olavo Bilac (vocals), Pedro Cunha (drums), Pascoal Simões (keys), Artur Santos (bass) and Rui Martins (metals). Pedro Almeida (guitar) joined the band in 1992.

The beginning of the band dates back to 1987 and in a garage in Talaíde, in the municipality of Cascais.

Propagated to the world after the participation of Olavo Bilac in the mega-collective Resistance, Santos & Pecadores assumed themselves, since their genesis, as a group with a strong pop vein .

The band’s first album was Onde Estás? , edited this one in 1995 .

The album had the participation of musician Rui Fadigas and presenter Catarina Furtado .

The album was a great success thanks to the ballad “I will not return to be faithful” that means (Não voltarei a ser fiel).

The album Love? was produced by Carlos Maria Trindade .

1997 is the year of Tu disco recorded live at Paradise Garage with the participation of Marta Dias , Kika Santos and Paulo Gonzo .

The album Voar is released in 1999 .

In 2001 they released Horas de Prazer .

The compilation Os Primeiros 10 Anos was released in 2003 , with three new songs: “Ondas”, “Um Por Todos” and “Perdas”.

After a break the group returned in 2006 with the album Ação-Reação .

In 2008 , they made new versions of their greatest hits available for download on the official website of the Livre Trânsito album. Ten songs recorded live and in acoustic format.

In 2009, at midnight on February 16, a Monday, another album called Caixa dos Segredos was released , a compilation with two unreleased songs (“Caixa dos Segredos” and “Perdido Meus”). In simultaneous edition, in addition to the CD, a DVD with a documentary, a photo gallery, an acoustic concert and several videos.

In 2010 they returned with a new album of originals: Energia .

In 2011 , a book with the history of the group, written by journalist Pedro Rios, was published through the Correio da Manhã newspaper, as well as a CD with some of the most representative themes of the career of Santos & Pecadores.
