Sofia Lisboa

Sofia Lisboa (born in France in 1977) is a Portuguese singer. She was the secondary vocalist of Silence 4.

She was born in France, the daughter of Portuguese emigrants, who returned to Leiria in 1988, where she completed her secondary education.

While Silence 4 started their musical career, Sofia was a student at the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon. She was a member of Silence 4 during all their active years, from 1996 to 2001.

She was part of the group Ellas with Raquel Ralha, a musical project in which they sang songs by Peggy Lee, Eartha Kitt, Brigitte Bardot, Nancy Sinatra, Edith Piaf, Jane Birkin or Rita Lee. He was also part of the show “Cantigas da Rua – the greatest songs ever, from the greatest films ever” where he interpreted popular themes from Portuguese radio and cinema that were in fashion in the 30s and 40s, namely “A Casinha”, “Noite Tropical”, “No Céu Azul”, “O Nosso Bairro”, “Casal Feliz”, “Sonho de Amor”, “Aldeia da Camisa Branca” or the great musical theme “Cantiga da Rua” which gave its name to this project.

After Sofia Lisboa survived cancer, Silence 4 decided to get together again for a series of concerts in 2013 and 2014.

She published her memoir, Nunca Desistas de Viver, in 2014.
