Tsunamiz releases “Slide”: a dark and liberating anthem in a raw and melodic synth-pop mode

“I just hang here and slide / Just slide”

Following the impact of “Free and Young”, which made it onto Antena 3’s playlist, Tsunamiz returns with “Slide”, the third single from his highly anticipated eighth studio album, “Love Is Never Enough”, set for release on December 5th.

Produced, written, and mixed entirely by Tsunamiz, the track dives into a sonic world where indie pop, new wave, and synth pop intersect with a raw and emotional approach—somewhere between New Order, Tame Impala, Beck, and Gorillaz.

With shimmering synths, enveloping guitars, and a hypnotic chorus that repeats like a mantra — “I just hang here and slide / Just slide” — this is a song about falling, emotional release, and the urge to walk away from what’s breaking us.

“I wrote this song at a time when I realised that certain people were emotionally draining me.
Instead of confronting or dramatizing it, I just let myself slide away — a silent but necessary move,” explains Tsunamiz.

The lyrics touch on loneliness, disillusionment, and breaking ties with toxic relationships, culminating in verses filled with rage and rejection of broken systems: “I’ll burn down every church / Where you’re praised / Where you’re heard” — a symbolic call to deconstruct idols and embrace personal liberation.

Once again, Tsunamiz delivers an independent, visceral, and unclassifiable production — crafted with soul, technique, and courage.

The single “Slide” is now available on all digital platforms.
Live concert — August 2nd, 10 PM, at Tokyo Lisboa.
Entry: €6

The new album drops on December 5th.

About Tsunamiz:

Tsunamiz is the alter ego of Bruno Sobral, a musician and producer from the south bank of the Tagus River (Margem Sul do Tejo), Portugal. Raised in a humble family, he developed a unique sonic identity that blends alternative rock, electronic music, hip hop, indie pop, and global influences.

With seven albums released and dozens of singles, Tsunamiz has built a vast and cohesive catalogue, marked by introspective lyrics, social commentary, and a distinctive style.

His sound — often compared to artists like Beck, Tame Impala, Gorillaz, and Depeche Mode — is 100% DIY, crafted from scratch using vocals, guitar, beats, and artistic vision.

His live show is a powerful one-man performance where raw energy and vulnerability coexist.

Tsunamiz is sonic resistance. Unfiltered freedom. Music that doesn’t ask for permission.
