Virgem Suta

The Virgin Suta are Nuno Figueiredo and Jorge Benvinda.

In June 2009 they released the eponymous album which was produced by Hélder Gonçalves. The song Linhas Cruzadas was featured on the soundtrack of the Portuguese soap opera Olhos nos Olhos.
The album was well received by critics, such as Disco Digital.

In April 2010, their first album was reissued with the inclusion of two new songs (“Tanto por Dizer” and “Menina Princesa”) and a DVD with eight songs recorded at the Galeria do Desassossego, in Beja. The group was nominated for Best Group at the SIC Golden Globe Awards.

In August 2010 they presented a new version of “Linhas Cruzadas” with the participation of Manuela Azevedo. On October 27, 2010 they perform live at Cinema S. Jorge, Lisbon. The debut album is reissued with the inclusion of the new version of “Linhas Cruzadas”.
Virgo Suta is one of the bands that best represents the new generation of pop-rock sung in Portuguese.
Known for their refined humor and good disposition, they are authors of some of the most irresistible songs in music in our country.

Ingeniously, his themes create such captivating images that we easily find ourselves absorbed in that particular imaginary.
Live, the songs gain an intensity that varies between contagious energy and moving tranquility, creating in the audience the desire that the concert does not end so soon.

They assume themselves as true hosts of a great party, trying to make each performance a lively gathering of friends.
If themes like “Regra Geral” and “Linhas Cruzadas”, which continue to be part of national radio playlists, are mandatory in every concert, the true apotheosis appears in the first chords of “Dança de Balcão”, “Tomo Conta Desta Tua Casa” or “Grandma Joaquina”.
