Portuguese DIY artist Tsunamiz returns with “Our Love Will Self-Destruct”, the third single from his upcoming ninth album, Apocalypsing, due for release on November 16, 2026.
The track sits somewhere between post-punk, darkwave, psych-goth and alternative rock, while staying true to Tsunamiz’s distinctive sound and the pop sensibility that runs through his work. It brings together elements reminiscent of Marilyn Manson, The Cure and N8NOFACE, combining guitars, electronic sounds and dark atmospheres with a melodic and straightforward approach.
The song explores the addictive pull of an intense and unstable relationship, touching on desire, emotional dependence, fear of losing someone, and the feeling that some relationships seem destined to destroy themselves from the very beginning.
A countdown running through the chorus turns that tension into a sense of inevitability: “3, 2, 1… ZERO.”
At the same time, Tsunamiz leaves the meaning open to interpretation, allowing listeners to connect the song with their own experiences and personal stories.
“Our Love Will Self-Destruct” was written, recorded, produced and performed entirely by Tsunamiz in his home studio, Sonically ILL, keeping the DIY spirit at the heart of the project. The official music video was also edited by Tsunamiz and features footage by Batwing, adding a dark and sensual visual dimension to the song.

Tsunamiz is the solo project of Portuguese musician, songwriter and producer Bruno Sobral. Active since 1999, he has released eight albums to date, with Apocalypsing becoming his ninth album and his fifth release in just five years. Working as a true one-man show, Tsunamiz writes, records, produces and performs his own music, combining vocals, guitar and electronic elements into a distinctive DIY sound.
His music moves between rock, electronics, post-punk and darker alternative sounds, with lyrics that explore identity, relationships, freedom, social issues and the contradictions of modern life.
