The Portuguese indie rock band Persona 77 debuts on April 5th with their first album, entitled “Senta-te”. The album perfectly represents the identity of the group, from Montijo, and the variety of influences they have, from bossa nova, in songs like “Porta Aberta”, to spoken word (“Odisseia”) or even punk rock (“Avisa a SS”).
On the same day, the band will play live at Casa da Música Jorge Peixinho, in Montijo, in a special concert to present the album, in which the group will cover the songs from it, but also some new songs. It will be the conclusion of a tour that took the band to play all over the country in recent months.
In the words of Henrique Vitorino, the group’s drummer, “it is an album that condenses what we have been doing, the fusion we have made of our indie rock with the most varied influences we have. It was entirely produced by us, which makes us be even more proud of the work.” Regarding the presentation concert, the musician reiterates that “we were very happy to be able to show the album in our city, in such a special room and we are sure it will be an unforgettable night. The end of an era for us, but also the beginning of a new chapter.”
Tickets cost 6 to 10 euros and can be purchased online, on the Casa da Música Jorge Peixinho website.
