A Beta Movement
Duo from the city of Porto that has been developing, since 2010, a work based on songs in an indie format with electronic contours with a dynamic structure pointing to danceable movements accentuated by the indie-rock performance evidenced live.
Behind the project are Pedro Cordeiro (guitar, vocals) and Secundino Oliveira (drums, keys, bass, vocals).
They were winners of the “Alternative” category of the 2010 edition of the Rock Rendez Worten competition, having been chosen, among more than 800 bands, by a jury made up of figures linked to national music. Sponsored by Miguel Guedes, lead singer of Blind Zero, they performed at the final ceremony, broadcast by SIC Radical, with his collaboration on voice and guitar.
Making use of the means available on the internet, A Beta Movement also presented their work to Music World Radio, having been named, among several projects from around the world, in the Alternative Top 20, reaching 3rd place on the list several times and having the right to radio review.
In March 2010, his debut EP, “ABetaMovement”, was released under a self-publishing regime and with a reduced circulation in CD-R format. The album is described by CDGo as “fed with songs, exposed to experimentation, building the concept of the perception of a non-existent movement. The musicality, although varied, moves between the “low-fi” indie associated with electronic programming and the illusory movement danceable.”
In August of the same year, the group released a new work, this time only in digital format, entitled “Warm Yellow”.
